Whenever there is a bit of free time I just enjoy sitting in my classroom and gaze at the empty sky. My classroom, being the smallest allocated teaching – learning space in the whole two storied block is pleasant, specially with my 11th graders. The three window panes allow fresh air in always. On and off the wind that gushes across the meadows nearby is refreshing..
Today being one such day, I sat in my chair after the recess sipping a mug of warm water…I could see the tall and magnificent coconut palm almost trying to scrape the sky..The young coconuts and inflorescences were clearly visible…It stands alone and no other tree in the vicinity has come closer to its height… ‘What a majestic tree…adding beauty to the sky blue background…’ I thought.
Far above the sky an eagle soaring through the skyscape caught my eye….Its’ style of flying which it holds the wings outward and rarely flap is interesting to watch…I have read elsewhere that instead of flapping,
eagles rely on rising air currents to gain altitude..Also they fly alone and never flock..
It was just a moment by my classroom window ..yet it inspired me into something magical.
Being outnumbered is simply nothing to be afraid of as long as you are confident to face any challenge that may cross your path..Also let’s just learn enjoy little things in life…
